Marianna Romani is the artist, artisan, and founder of the Bologna-based Dipilli. She tells the story of a very unique product: hand-painted vegetable and animal skin personalized patches. In order to avoid waste, she cuts her patches individually with a handmade die-cut of our own design. Then, she goes with hand painting to embellish the product and make it even more unique. The painting techniques applied to the patches are many: watercolor, stencil, color spots, up to real works of art that require many stages of processing.
